#9 Kayak - Lake Winnisquam, Laconia, NH

• Covid-19 Protocol:  If unvaccinated, please wear a mask if you are unloading and assisting one another within a 6 ft. distance.   

• Put-In: 295 Shore Drive = Wildwood Shore Association Private Beach. We will drop our Kayaks, with paddle, PFD, snack/lunch & "trip stuff" at the Put-In.  A trip organizer will stay with your kayak, while you drive your car down to the 407 to park your car. It is about 10 houses down the road on the right.                                       
• 407 Shore Drive is the residence of Kathy Jacobs. There you will put your Apre cooler in the garage for safe keeping and park your car. Further instructions will be given there. • APRE gathering after the paddle at Kathy Jacobs home at the 407.  Bring an item to share.  Grill available.                                                                                                                       
•  Meet Time:  10:30 am  Launch time:  BIB (butts in boats,) 11:00 am, so we can set off prompt.   Paddling Time:  2.5 - 3 hours (1-1 1/2 hrs each way)      Be respectful of others.  Be early and on time to depart at BIB!           Give yourself more time if you think you will need it.                                      
• EVENT DETAILS:  This is a recreational paddle.  Starting at the sandy beach, we will paddle along the lake shore, to the city park with flush toilets and picnic tables (no alcohol allowed at this beach). The paddle will continue down the river into Laconia, which will take us to wild life refuge. The paddle will end back at the Put-In.                                                                                                                                                                            
• As a NH Ski Club member, I will make sure I have the right supplies & equipment to keep myself safe while participating in this event along with any guest(s) I choose to bring.  I will keep up and stay with the group.                    
• Checklist of things to bring:                                                                           - Pack a picnic lunch/snacks for Kayaking.                                                         - Bring something to share for the BBQ Apre paddle at the 407 & BYOB.         - PFD - Paddle(s) - Plenty of drinking water                                                          - Bathing Suit/Towel/HAT - Insect repellent - Sunscreen                                   - Water Toys... Pumps double nicely as a water squirter!                                - Rain Gear!... two 10 gallon bags have multi uses.                                            
• AS A CONDITION OF ATTENDING THIS KAYAK ACTIVITY, YOU AGREE TO: Hold harmless, and indemnify the organizer(s) and their relations and heirs, and all members and participants of the NH Ski Club from any and all claims for injury, illness, death, and/or property damage including those caused by negligence, ignorance, inexperience and other reasons. You also agree to assume all mental, physical, financial, and/or other risk associated with this NHSC activity. Kayaking, camping, hiking, skiing, bicycling and other activities pose inherent risks and dangers. Participation in these activities is voluntary and dependent upon your own personal judgement. In the interest of safety, wearing a Lifejacket (PFD), securely fitted is required while paddling with this group. All Guest(s) will be required to sign a Disclaimer-Liability Release.
