  • Covid-19 Protocol:   Wear a mask if you feel more comfortable while we are unloading and assisting one another at a 6 ft. distance, if you are not vaccinated.
  • Registrations close 24 hours prior to the paddle =  7/9 Fri at 9am

  • Meet Time: 9:00 am  Launch time:  BIB (butts in boats,) 9:30 am                              Be respectful of others.  Be early and on time to depart at BIB!                                                         Paddling Time:  2.5 - 3.5 hours 
  • Neal's Cove Boat Launch:  You will have to reserve a day parking pass here to enter the park:  https://www.nhstateparks.org/visit/state-parks/pawtuckaway-state-park 

Obtain a Hiking parking pass for parking at Neal's Cove for kayaking.                Obtain a Beach parking pass for the rental shack @ the beach parking lot.   Reserve parking passes early before they sell out. The park is only selling a certain amount at this time.  It is a $5 entrance fee into the park. NH Residents Age 65+ with ID = $1.00 on-line transition Fee.  Arrive early for the best parking spots.

  • FYI:  There is little to No cell service.  Text can sometimes get through.

From Neal's Cove, paddle Pawtuckaway Lake around the shoreline to Horse Island then Lunch Island up to a sandy beach. We will stop for a picnic lunch and a swim. We'll check to see it there are any blueberries left to pick.

  • Directions: On Rte. 101, take Exit 5 North for Raymond                                   Head North for 0.6 mi                                                                                         Turn Left onto NH-107 N/NH-156 N/NH-27 W for 0.1 mi                               Turn Right onto NH-156 N/Nottingham Rd for 1.4 mi                                   Turn Left onto Mountain Rd for 2.0 mi                                                             Turn Left onto Pawtuckaway Road.                                                                   After the entrance gate - check-in, continue for about 1.5 miles.                       Turn Right at the "Boat Launch Neal's Cove" sign and park in the lot.               For the Beach Parking lot, pass the Neal's Cove sign - lot on left.
  • KAYAK RENTALS: Beach Parking Lot-available at the rental shack on the water front below the Camp Store: $15.00 per hour or $50.00 per day.  Check the website to secure a beach parking pass.  Rentals are a "first come basis".  BE EARLY! Once you have your kayak/paddle/PFD, paddle to the right under the footbridge to meet the rest of us at Neal's Cove.                        
  • As a NH Ski Club member, I will make sure I have the right supplies & equipment to keep myself safe while participating in this event along with any guest(s) I choose to bring.  I will keep up & stay with the group!
  • Checklist of things to bring:

- PFD - Paddle(s) - Plenty of drinking water - Lunch/Snacks
- Bathing Suit/Towel/HAT - Insect repellent - Sunscreen
- Water Toys... Pumps double nicely as a water squirter!
- Rain Gear!... two 10 gallon bags have multi uses.                                              - Water Shoes, No flip flops!

AS A CONDITION OF ATTENDING THIS KAYAK DAY TRIP, YOU AGREE TO: Hold harmless, and indemnify the organizer(s) and their relations and heirs, and all members and participants of the NH Ski Club from any and all claims for injury, illness, death, and/or property damage including those caused by negligence, ignorance, inexperience and other reasons. You also agree to assume all mental, physical, financial, and/or other risk associated with this NHSC activity. Kayaking, camping, hiking, skiing, bicycling and other activities pose inherent risks and dangers. Participation in these activities is voluntary and dependent upon your own personal judgement. In the interest of safety, wearing a Lifejacket (PFD), securely fitted is required while paddling with this group.  All Guest(s) will be required to sign a Disclaimer-Liability Release.
